My name's Nick i love to play with little boys and to tickle the donkeys ears when he is not looking. When i drink my protein shakes i get this huge explosion of awesomeness that makes me just want to say "WooHoo"
On the way to Richards apartment the Marques de carbas thinks that he will need some insurence for later, just in case. So Richard and mdc go to see Old Bailey he lives on the top of a sky scraper with a bunch of birds. Mdc gives Old Bailey an old artifact and Old Bailey seems to be scared of it and doesnt want to take it but he has to because he has owed the mdc a big favor for twenty years. They finally arive in Richards apartment and the mdc and Door leave. Door apoligizes to Richard before she goes. After they leave Richard gets a call from Mr. C and Mr. V they tell him that they are going to feed him his own liver. Richard trys to call the police but no one can hear him. His apartment gets sold and everybody forgets that he even ever was alive. While wondering the streets a begger asks Richard for some money Richard gives him some and then asks if the homeless man can see him, he can and he leads Richard to the Rat-Speakers. These people can talk to rats and rats are considered to be royalty to them. He meets the king rat and he tells Richard that he has to go to the market to find Door. So Richard and Anestishia head to the market. On the way to the market Richard becomes very fond of Anestishia, but she dies on the nights bridge, she gets taken by the night. Richard is not alone however he had meet a tall, dark skinned women on the other side of the bridge and she takes him to market. Door and the mdc have gone to Doors house. Doors house is spread out all over the world but she can use her power to bring them together kind of. With memories and her power she brings the house together and her and the mdc go into her fathers study. While passing through the doors you see memories of the house. Door and the mdc see Doors family getting killed. They find her fathers journal and he tells them to go see Islington, an angle. They also think they need a bodyguard so they go to market.

I like these kinds of books and this book really has about everything I'm not the best at explaining it but it is a really good book.

Pages 1-45

This book is following the story of a Richard Meyhew. He lives in a little town in Scottland and is going to London for a job. His friends throw him a party, where he meets this old women how tells him his fourtune. She tells him to watch out for doors and that he will be going on a very long journey, not just to London soon. So Richard moves to London and lives there for three years where he meets Jessica and they get engaged. Richards freind Gary calls Jessica a evil witch but Richard likes her cause she really controls everything. Meanwhile a girl named door is running for her life form a Mr. Croup and a Mr. Vandermar. She kills a man named Mr. Ross. Door is a very special person, she can open almost anthing and create doors to anywhere. Mr. Vandermar stabs her and she opens a final door to a "safe place." At this time Richard and Jessica are going to go out to eat with her boss but on the way they run into a crupled up bloody girl. Jessica just steps over her and keeps walking. Richard stops and sees if she is ok, she doesnt want to go to a hospital so richard takes her home to his place. Jessica is furious at him and breaks off the relationship. Mr. C and Mr. V come to get Door but Richard lies to them and says that she isnt there. They now she is but they cant do anything about it right now besides kill him but they dont. Door shows Richard a way to send messages by normal piegons and rats. This seems very odd to Richard. She sends out a pigieon to get a message to a Marcus De Carbus and a rat returns with directions. Door dares not leave the apartment so she sends out Richard. He meets him and they both head back to his apartment.

This book is very interesting to me so far I like how it is starting. I think it is going to be a good book.

Ch. 26

Holden then says that he went home and was sick so he was sent to a rest home. His brother often visits him and he wishes that he hadnt said so much about his experiences. He says that he is going to a new school in the fall and hopes that he will apply himself better. He says that he misses all of the people that he has just told us about.

Ch. 25

In this chapter Holden goes to sleep on a bench and wakes up the next moring. Holden does something really weird he goes to the corners of the streets and calls out to his brother after this he goes to his old school and leaves a note for his sister to meet him at the museum. He is looking around his old school and sees some bad words written on the wall. He then goes to the museum and sees that same thing. He descides that those words will probally be written on his grave stone. Holden is dizzy and meets his sister who want to go with him. He says that he isnt going anywher anymore and they go to the zoo. They dont ever really walk with each other because she is pissed at him. When they get there she rides a spining horse thing and Holden is so happy he could cry.

Ch. 24

In this chapter Holden arrives at his teachers house and they talk about why he failed out of yet another school. Holden explains that he never liked the rules that where in place at Penecy. They get into an argument and dont talk for awhile until his wife brings them coffe. After that the teacher brings up how he thinks that Holden will fail soon and be on his own faceing the world. Holden goes to sleep but is awaken by the teacher stroking his head. He is scared and thinks that the teacher is gay and leaves in a hurry.

Ch. 23

Holden leaves the room and calls an old teacher from the school that the boy killed himself at. He remarks that this teacher is the only one who went up to the body after he jumped. After this he goes back to Pheboes room and they dance until there partents come home. His mom comes in and tucks his sister in but he is hiding in the closet. After she leaves he tells her his plan to go to new york alone. He gives her his hunting hat before he leaves.

Ch. 22

Holden later trys to talk to her again later and tries to explain why he was having trouble and why he was kicked out. He told her what he hated and she said that he hated everything. When she is talking to him he spaces out and thinks about a boy who killed himself at a school he went to. He then thinks about Allie and brings him up. But Pheboe reminds him that he is dead. Holden only then repeats the song that he heard the ohter day. And she corrects him on the lyrics.

Ch. 21

In this chapter Holden sneaks up to his parents apartment by telling the elavator man that he is visiting the people who live close to them. He goes in to his sisters room but she isnt there so he goes to his brothers room some times she likes to sleep there when he is in hollywood. Finally he wakes her up and she talks to him about all the things that are going on in her life then she realizes that he is two days early and was kicked out of school again. She says that there dad is going to kill him and doesnt talk to him anymore.

Ch. 20

In this chapter Holden is depressed and gets very drunk. He trys calling Sally but only pisses her off even more and something about her grandmother too. He is flirting with the singer and the watiresses at the bar trying to set up dates with them. He goes to see the ducks at the park and he ends up breaking his sisters record. After that he talks to us about his brothers funeral and decides he is going to sneak back home.

Ch. 19

Ok so it wasnt a date cause it was a dude that was meeting. They used to know each other and Luce would tell Holden about sex. Holden know that he is a phoney though. Luce tells Holden that he should get a pyscoanaylisis and remindes him that his father does that. But when Holden tells him that he should get one Luce leaves.

Ch. 18

Holden has left the skating place and is getting something to eat when his mind wonders and thinks about Jane he then tries to call her and no one answers him. He then calls another girl and he sets a date with her. He messes around in the mean time and thinks about his brother. He then goes to the place that they are supposed to meet.

Ch. 17

Holden meets Sally at her hotel but she is late. He says that he didn't mind because she was looking very good. They go to the play and Holden feels the same way about them as he did about Ernie. Sally flirts with another guy and Holden gets pissed but doesnt say anything. They go skating and holden says the only reason why sally wanted to was so she could show off her ass. Holden has a break down and starts talking about phoneys and living off on there own and eventually calls her a pain in his ass and she crys so he leaves with out her.

Ch. 16

Holden goes for a walk and thinks about his sister and how she always knew what he was talking about. He sees a little boy singing a song about the title of the book. He then surprisingly is cheered up and he decides to call Jane but hangs up when her mother answers the phone and he then buys tickets to a show or something.

Ch. 15

In the moring Holden checks out and he calls up that girl form before and sets a date with her. He then tells us some stuff about his parents. He then eats at some place and meets some Nuns who he talks to and gives them ten dollars. He wishes that he could give more. He then is depressed.

Ch. 14

In this chapter Holden is thinking of his brother again when the elavator guy and Sunny come to his room to get the money. The guy holds Holden and Sunny gets the money. The guy beats Holden and then leaves. Holden then imagins something like he is in a movie and is going to get revenge.

Ch. 13

In this chapter Holdan is walking home and thinks about his gloves. When he gets to the Hotel he goes up the elavator and this guy askes him if he wants a prostitute. Holdan accepts and Sunny arrives in his room. But Holden does not have sex with her he just makes up an excuess. She leaves but wants ten instead of five.

Ch. 12

Well i guess he talked to the cabbie about the ducks in this one but oh well. So after he talked to him he went to the club and told us how he knew the owner. He listens to him play the piano and isnt not very impressed he says that it seems very phony and he gets depressed from it. After he orders a scotch and soda he meets D.B.s former girlfreind. And he leaves because she askes him to sit with her and her date. Who didnt really like her much.

Ch. 11

In this chapter Holden is thinking about Jane, he tells us some storys about when they where together and how happy it made him. I think the reason why he likes Jane so much is because she was in the only time in his life when he was happy. He tells how they did everything together and held hands all the time. After he thinks about her he gets a cab and heads to a club. While in the cab he talks to the cabbie and asks him where the ducks go in the winter but the cabbie was always sore about that subject and kept bring it up when Holden droped it. It ends when Holden arrives at the club.

Ch. 10

In this chapter Holden is heading down to a nightclub. He thinks about his little sister and describes her very well. She seems to be just like Aille. Her name is Phebe or something. Any way he goes down to the club and trys to order a drink but the waiter isnt fooled. He explains how he can usally get away with it on account of his grey hair. He dances with some older women but they arent fooled either and laugh at him he pays for their drinks and leaves depressed.

Ch. 9

After Holden gets off the train he doesnt have anywhere to go so he goes to a motel. At teh motel he cant think of anyone to call. But then he calls a girl that he met and a party once and he want to go out on a date with her. She refuses and says maybe tomorrow. But Holden hangs up the phone on her.

Ch. 8

Holden walks all the way to the station and gets on it. One of his classmates moms gets on and sits next to him. She realizes that he is form pencey and asks him if he know her son. He does and he also hates him. But he lies to her and tells her that her son is the most popular kid on campus. He also tells her that his name is what the janitors is and also says that he is getting a tumor cut out of his brain.

Ch. 7

In this chapter Holden is in Ackleys room and they talk for awhile Holden cant stop thinking about Jane. He even wakes Ackley up to talk to him about joining a monestary so that he wont think of Jane. But this annoyes Ackley and Holden leaves. Holden goes to his room packs all his stuff. Then he crys. And leaves Pencey forever.

Ch. 6

In chapter six Holden has been done and sitting in his chair waiting for Stradlater to get home from his date. Once Stradlater walks in he doesn't tell Holden about the date he just is annoyed with him that he didnt wright the paper right. So Holden rips it up and then they layed on their beds while Holden broke the rules and smoked in the dorm. Stradlater hates it when you break rules. Eventualy they talk about the date and Holden pisses Stradlater off and they fight. Holden gets his nose bloodied and goes into Ackleys room.
I think Holden has a thing for this Jane.

Ch. 5

Holden and a couple friends go out to town and eat. They where going to go see a movie but his friends had already seen it. so they got back home and Holdan works on Stradlaters paper. He cant think of any thing that would follow the guide lines so he wrights about his dead younger brothers baseball glove. It was very descriptive. Holden shows great affection for his younger brother.

Ch. 4

Holden and Stradlater are in the bathroom and they are taking about Stradlater's date. He tells Holden that that his date knows him he also tells him to do his homework for him. Holden knows this girl from his past. Her life sucked too. Stradlater doesn't really care and that makes Holden angry. Holden is nervous about his freinds date.
If Holden likes this girl so much why doesnt he go talk to her that seems kind of dumb.

Ch. 3

In this chapter Holden is in his room and he explains who the building is named after. Its not very interesting. He also tells of his neighbor, Ackley, he is 18. Holden likes to point out all of this kids faults. And one of them was he has bad maners and hegine. He also tells us of his new hat. Holden's roommate comes in and Ackley leaves. They go into the bathroom and his roommate tells him he as a date. Holdens roommates name is Stradlater.
Holden seems to talk alot about nothing important.

Ch. 2

Holden goes and visits his favorite teacher at pencey, old Spencer. Both of the Spencers are very old and Mrs. Spencer cant hear very well. Holden goes into Spencer's room and describes him. He sounds just like an normal old man. Spencer begins to lecture Holden on life and eventaly Holden cant stand it anymore and says good bye.
Holden isnt much for good byes. But at least he went to see him for the last time.

Ch. 1

In the first chapter Holden is introduced and he tells us that he wont tell us about his childhood but he will start when he was getting kicked out of Pencey. He also tells us that his brother D. B. was a great writer and he is succesful. He tells us that this is not the first school he has gotten kicked out of he says that he is flunking 4 of 5 classes that he is taking.
Holden seems like a troubled kid and he must have a crapy life at home.
